Other sirens

There were many other brands and models of electronic sirens made from the 1950s to the end of the 1980s.  I've listed some examples below.  I don't know anything about any of these units other than roughly guessing their production periods and how they visually compare with older Federal electronic sirens.

Trippe Electro-sonic

Control layout similar to early 1960s Federal Director.  The siren also has a wired-in mic.

Later version of Electro-Sonic with pushbutton controls.  Likely 1970s era.

Dazl / Dominator

Similar to Federal PA1 & PA2.  Late 1950s.

Offered in GM police cruiser packages during the mid-1960s.

Dazl Commander

Looks simalar  to Carson SA300 or Whelen WS-295.  1970s or 1980s?

Fyr-Fyter Penetrator

Looks to be a '60s era device.  1960s vintage sirens usually had the 'alert' tone.

  GE

GE's first electronic siren? Likely late 1950s - early 1960s

GE Power-Call/Siren

This siren is especially sought after because of its slow and choppy sounding yelp.

Sireno Projector

Likely in production from late 1960s to mid-1970s.  The 'deluxe' model had pushbuttons instead of a rotary selector.

Dietz

Likely an early to mid-1960s model.  Combination siren and light control.

Sireno/Jabsco System 2000

Similar to Federal PA 1000, combination siren and light control.  Probably late 1970s - early 1980s.

Signal Stat

Signal Stat Stat VI.  Note that this model has no 'wail' tone.  Likely 1970s.

Motorola T1300a

Likely late 1960s or early 1970s. The toggle switches indicate that it is an older model.

Smith & Wesson Magnum 500

Probably 1970s vintage. Functions similar to Federal PA20A but with pushbuttons instread of a rotary control.   Dietz 'Omnisound' sirens looked identical to S&W sirens of this period.  They were likely made by the same manufacturer - Carson, maybe?

  Mars Clarion II

Definitely similar to Federal PA20A.  May even be made by Federal.

Whelen WS-295

Likely a 1970s model.  Not even remotely resembles the current WS295 models.

Carson SA-300

SA-300 was first patented in 1974.  Also sold under the SVP brand name. SA-400 had the 'phaser' tone.

North American Signal Siren Master

Probably a mid 1980s model. Vaguely resembles Smith & Wesson Magnum 500.  If the yelp and hi-lo buttons are pushed together, both sounds are combined to produce the 'riot' tone.  In Canada the Siren Master was sold under the Dominion Auto brand name.

Unitrol 800

Made by the Dunbar-Nunn Corporation.  Likely early to mid-1970s.  One of the first units to have combined siren and light control.

Yankee

Pushbutton operation with optional light control box attached.  1970s or 1980s?
